John and his staff always take care of their guests. We’ve been there for dinner, just drinks and even private events that John and Helen helped us organize. The service is always great, food delicious and atmosphere brings back what Chestermere is all about.

We love Dockside! Great pizza, great burgers. Not so great “healthy food” (seriously just take it off the menu) but definitely worth going for the pub fare! Okay selection of beers and I’d like to see Strongbow on tap again.

    Never again!

Ordered wings at the dockside and exactly 12 hrs later am violently sick. The same timeline for
    food borne sickness.

    Will never eat there again!

To our valued neighbors and guests: Below is our response to the identical post made on Google Reviews two weeks before the same post was made on Chestermere Local. Between the time of the Google Review and this posting on Chestermere Local, the Health Inspector for the Chestermere area visited Chestermere Landing for a random routine inspection. He informed us when asked that no report of an incident of suspected food related illness had been reported to Alberta Health Services. The food handling practices and facilities at Chestermere Landing are regularly inspected and consistently meet the standards of safety and cleanliness in that regard. The owners and kitchen team at Chestermere Landing are almost completely comprised of residents of Chestermere and are all dedicated to providing quality, tasty, and properly prepared meals for our valued neighbors that are also our guests. Any suspected incident of sickness that is thought to be caused by food from any establishment should be reported to Alberta Health Services as noted below in order to thoroughly and accurately investigate the true source of that illness.

      April 25th

Emma. We are extremely sorry to hear that you have become ill. Please Contact Alberta Health Services immediately at 403-943-2288 Ext #3 and provide to them the information and circumstances that led to your posting of this issue on Google Reviews today. Our Chef, owners, and kitchen team hold current Certificates in Provincial Food Sanitation and Hygiene conducted by AHS Environmental Public Health and the standards of care with respect to food handling and preparation within our venue are of the utmost importance to us. The Public Health Inspector will follow up with us immediately. We have no knowledge at this time of anyone else feeling ill after eating wings from our kitchen, but we will follow through with a thorough investigation. We welcome any patron to visit our kitchen at any time to meet our staff and view the work areas for themselves to form their own opinions on the cleanliness and food handling procedures therein. Again, we are very sorry to hear that you have become ill. Dockside Bar and Grill

we have eaten enough wings at the landing that would make an episode of man verse food look like a children’s show! I have never felt sick and always have a great time! Here’s hoping that the new owners can run the business half as good as John. They will definitely have some big shoes to fill!

Had a horrible experience at dockside, would never go back. After trying them a few times in the diner and bar with slow service and overpriced drinks we had a babysitter and decided to try the patio for the first time on a sunny Friday afternoon becuase we really wanted to enjoy the lake view.. We were told inside to chose a seat anywhere which we did but then had 3 waitresses come out to the patio and ignore us barely making eye contact. Another couple came out after we had been waiting 15 minutes and they got menus and drink orders taken right away. Had a 4th waitress come out, serve the table right beside us ignore us and again walk back inside. We left without being served. Never again. NIce to be Chestermere’s original social house, would be even nice to actually get served there.

As owners of Chestermere Landing we are very sorry to hear of your disappointing experience at our venue. On a summer-like day there is no better place to enjoy food and beverages in Chestermere than right next to the lake, and the patio at Chestermere Landing is by far the most popular location welcoming everyone to do so. As a true “Public House” we welcome our guests to seat themselves where they wish instead of at the direction of a hostess directing where they are to sit. Our venue was extremely busy on the day you visited and we are very sorry that you were overlooked by our serving staff. We are a locally owned business with the majority of our staff also being residents of Chestermere. All of us wish to serve our neighbors and guests in a welcoming and efficient manner providing quality food and beverages and fair prices. Please accept our apologies for not meeting your needs.

My wife and I have been to the Dockside numerous times. We always know what we will get: good service, good food. Smiles all around, every time!!

I had a surprise party for my husband at the beginning of April in their event room. We couldn’t have asked for more, the food was fabulous their waitresses were awesome and the enteranment (Jim Baxter) was really great. They were extremely catering to our every need. We can’t say enough about our fabulous experience. John and Helen Kittler kodo’s. All our guests commented on the great venue and awesome food. Needless to say we’ll be back this is our 4th event here.
